In 1974 Toon and Leo Govers started the company “Govers Brothers Reek Ltd.”. The name Govers has been connected to trade in pigs and piglets for many years. Over generations members of that family have been actively involved in that sector. Trade began at regional and later national level. Eventually the brothers Govers expanded the trade across the border and the name Govers became a trademark in Europe. In 1992 the name of the company changed into VAEX, and a new generation has taken over. Pim (Toon’s son) and Dirk (Leo’s son) have been part of the management since 2005. 

Currently VAEX Group specializes in the trade of piglets, slaughter pigs, slaughter sows, cattle, used and new trucks and livestock trucks. VAEX Group is internationally oriented and with its fleet it covers the whole of Europe and even some countries outside Europe. The company’s managing directors are Pim and Dirk Govers, still supported by founder Leo Govers.
